Inspiring Missionary Stories in Audio Dramas!

We did a review a while back on one of the audio dramas from The Brinkman Adventures and it was such a blessing for our family, so I was all over the opportunity to review the The Brinkman Adventures: Season 3! Not only do we love audio dramas, but our first experience with this wonderful action series sparked in all of us a new love for missionary stories.

The Brinkman Adventures is a series about a large Christian family of missionaries and their adventures serving God. It is action packed with rich characters, compelling challenges, and a focus on loving God and serving Him with all we are. Everything in the seres is great for all ages, including our 8, 6, 4, and 2 year old. The 1 year old even seemed to listen intently and I was definitely captured by the story!

Season 3 of The Brinkman Adventures includes 12 new episodes that you can buy as CDs or an MP3. There are 5 hours in all of listening time. The series all stand on their own so you don’t have to have the first two, although I recommend getting all of them.

Season 3 Episodes:

  • God’s Mule
  • Mountain Mover
  • The Silent Ambassador
  • Translating Trouble
  • Man-Up
  • Acorns & Oaks
  • A Saint’s Story, Pt. 1
  • A Saint’s Story, Pt. 2
  • Untouched Busy Bees and a Bullhorn
  • Missionary Tourist, Pt. 1
  • Missionary Tourist Pt. 2

Inspiring Missionary Stories in Audio Dramas

The kids were SO excited to have another season of The Brinkman Adventures, as we already have the first two and know them well. We  play them in the car during long car trips or just to local places. We also enjoy them during quiet time. With all the different aspects in each story, especially the cultural and geographical ones, you could easily turn them into a unit study. We made sure to look up each of the places on our globe.

In a recent act of desperation to get a moment to myself before I melted into a puddle, I popped in an episode of The Brinkman Adventures during lunch instead of reading like I normally do. The kids were totally enthralled and quiet, and soon we were all sitting around the table and listening! Score 1 for mom.

Our whole family enjoyed the riveting stories about doing the impossible, traveling the world, facing terrorists, and even falling into glaciers! The character lessons in these audio dramas are wonderful. Following God in spite of obstacles, having unwavering faith, becoming a man, putting the needs of others above our own, and more.

Bottom line: We LOVE The Brinkman Adventures and will own every series they make!
