Will you join me in praying for generous hearts for ourselves and our family?

Here are some wonderful scriptures to pray through on being generous! It’s a wonderful set of Christmas scriptures but can be used any time of year. You will be blessed by them and so will your family!

The first five scriptures listed here are included in the printable pack.

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. – Galatians 6:2

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. – Hebrews 13:16

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:35

Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you. Luke 6:38

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 2 Corinthians 9:6

But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? 1 John 3:17

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21

But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? 1 Timothy 6:17-19

Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed. Proverbs 19:17

Jesus looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box, and he saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins. And he said, “Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” Luke 21:1-4

Dear Tauna, I wanted to tell you how grateful I am for your printable scriptures. They have been such an encouragement to me. I put them up all over the house to keep myself encouraged and focused on the Lord. I have been homeschooling for six years now due to one of my children having a physical disability that requires surgeries periodically. We don’t get out much or get to see many people because of this. Times have been lonely, but I am learning to draw close to the Lord and trust in and know Him like I never have before. Also I have experienced such a closeness with my children and teaching them about their Savior who loved us enough to give His life for us, so even though our steps in life are difficult, they are planned by a loving Savior full of grace and mercy. Thank you again for your gifts if encouragement. 🙂
