Best Accessories for Using Essential Oils

If you are getting started in essential oils or just looking for some fun things to add to your stash, this is the place for you! I have added a list of my favorites for newbies and some extras for experienced essential oils users. Plus some things that are on my own wish list.  🙂

Diffusers

The AromaCloud Spa (or similar brands that are the same basic model work too) is my favorite and I use it every day! It’s an ultrasonic diffuser that is easy to use and covers our large open floor plan. There are also great diffusers at Rocky Mountain Oils to check out (free shipping!)

There are few personal and car diffusers that are worth trying. You could wear your oils on a pretty necklace or try this handy car diffuser. If someone in the household doesn’t like the oils in the air or you want to inhale an oil that isn’t safe for a child in the room to inhale, try this three pack of personal inhalers

Roll-On Bottles

Good roll-on bottles are a must, especially for the busy mom. You can put roller bottles in your purse, cabinet, carrying case, and any other cool, dark place. They’re perfect for a quick application of whatever single or blend you want to use. Amber bottles keep the light out more to preserve the oils so they last longer.

Labeling Stickers

I like to have a set of blank labeling stickers on hand so that I can label my own created blends and roll-on bottles. So helpful and a frugal addition to your shopping cart!

Carrier Oils

There are several carrier oils you can use – and you DO NEED at least one. My favorite is Fractionated Coconut Oil (FCO) because it is scentless, does not go bad, and does not solidify. It’s really easy to work with. Other options I like are grapeseed oil and grapeseed oil. I do recommend getting cold pressed oil where possible.

Essential Oils Carrying Cases

Soon you’ll want to get a decent essential oils carrying case for storing and transporting your oils in a safe way and to prolong their shelf life. I started out by cutting the top off an empty box of tissues and standing them up in there, tucking them into a cabinet. Be sure that if you’re using a DIY option you are still storing them away from heat and light. Carrying cases are a great option. I have one large one that holds most of them and a few small ones for different locations in the house and for travel.

Books and Resources

My favorite book for essential oils is The Complete Aromatherapy and Essential Oils Handbook for Everyday Wellness. It’s my go-to for quick reference and recipes. You can check out my list of more great essential oils books and resources as well.
