Read, Pray, and Memorize James as a Family

Want to go deeper into God’s Word with your family but just don’t know where to start?

This study on the book of James makes it simple for you! You can use it on its own or alongside whatever Bible study or reading plan you’re already using. It is a flexible system that you can do in entirety or pick and choose elements to fit your needs.

Read, Pray, and Memorize James with Your Family

Every year the Proverbial Homemaker community goes through a monthly scripture challenge to read and pray the scripture as well as apply it in our lives as acts of love for the Lord and our families. Scripture art prints, coloring pages, and verse cards have been the staple of this system, along with tools to help you be faithful in reading God’s Word and praying for others.

In 2019, we are expanding the system while also focusing on one book of the Bible: James!

You can use this resource to simply write and pray through the book of James. You can also use the tools provided in it to study the scripture, memorize it, and stay faithful in your regular Bible reading and prayer. Customize it for your own purposes!

Here’s what you’ll find:

  • Ideas for using it with multiple ages
  • Scripture memory tips and tool
  • Tools to help you be faithful in Bible reading and prayer
  • 2 sets of custom illustrated scripture art prints, cards, and coloring pages
  • Devotional and discussion questions
  • Bible study tips and additional resources
  • Journal to write out prayers and ideas for application
  • Scripture word study templates
  • Young kids draw or build with Legos
  • Copywork – single and dash lined
  • Memorization puzzle
  • Accountability – Every month we’ll have a touch base in the Domestically Challenged, Divinely Equipped facebook group

Each month in 2019, we’ll release a new printable pack for the next section of James that we’ll focus on. It will be FREE through that month and then will move to a paid product in the store when the next printable comes out. So be sure to snag them while they’re free! The intro/setup files for the study will remain free until 2020.

Are you ready to start the new year with a fantastic plan? I can’t wait for you to join me!

  4. Awesome as usual! So excited.

We memorized the book of James in 5th grade so we’ll see how much I remember but just wanted to encourage that it is doable.

Glad to see the coloring option is both floral and sailboats as that allows the boys some coloring too.

    1. I’m excited about memorizing it! I’ve always wanted to memorize whole books. This is a good start, I think.

Yes, I’m going to make sure there’s a boy-friendly option since someone (maybe you) suggested last year I keep that in mind! Good thinking. 🙂

  5. I totally agree with you on the fact that the Shower is where to pray and have enough quiet to hear God speak! 🙂 Thank you for your work and walking us through your binder of resources!

    1. Absolutely, Andrea! 🙂
