Being Thankful in the Hard Times

“Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

God asks us to give thanks in all things. ALL THINGS. Doesn’t that seem a little steep? Possibly even unrealistic? To be honest, I can think of at least a dozen things off the top of my head I’m not inclined to give thanks for.

A fitting contribution for November, and so true – it’s not the plastic smile for men but the thankful heart to God for His ultimately being in control of it all that fits Paul’s exhortation. Nicely done. Thankful for you!
