Biblical Tools for Mentoring Your Daughter
I have two beautiful daughters that take my breath away and and challenge me daily. As they grow and learn I often think about what I’m going to teach them about biblical womanhood. I don’t want to just coast along. How can I intentionally teach them about what to expect as they grow and pursue God?

So many of us are looking for women to guide us in these areas, even as adults, right? What we need are mentors to teach us how to mentor our daughters! Do you struggle to find this in your own life? I can assure you, you are not alone.
I am delighted to introduce to you, dear reader, a beautiful set of resources that does just that. Pumpkin Seed Press by Shelley Noonan provides parents with biblical tools for mentoring your daughters. You will find encouragement from Shelley as she mentors YOU to mentor THEM. You and your husband will be equipped through these tools to teach them with intention, and right from the word of God.
I cannot even begin to tell you how excited my husband and I are to have Shelley Noonan’s mentoring program for daughters in our library! Although we have a ways before a lot of the material is applicable, I have already started digging into some of the CDs, and I know we will be blessed by the years to come as our daughters grow and mature.
Biblical Mentoring Tools at Pumpkin Seed Press
Here are a few of the amazing biblical tools for mentoring that are offered by Pumpkin Seed Press:
The Companion Guide to Beautiful Girlhood is a mother-daughter Bible study guide for use with girls ages 9-14. It draws on the wisdom and experience of Shelley’s mentorship of her own daughter. The guide has 32 week long lessons (a full year!) and is based on the classic book Beautiful Girlhood, which focuses on the foundational lessons of godly character.
Beyond Beautiful Girlhood Plus Companion Guide is another mother-daughter study for girls a little big older – ages 12-18. This study expands on the character lessons learned in The Companion Guide to Beautiful Girlhood, focusing on three key areas: home, life and spirit. You can also buy an audio CD of a talk Shelley has done based on this resource.
Beyond Beautiful Girlhood Organizational Charts CD is full of helpful charts to teach your daughter to better organize their lives! Includes a chore chart, daily quiet time, weekly menu plan, prayer and action, reading chronicle, in-depth Bible study, and godly goals.
The Three Weavers Plus Companion Guide for dads this time! Fathers work through this guide with their daughters ages 13-18. It is a study on purity and is based on the classic story The Three Weavers. Fathers are called to “bravely assume their God given responsibility to protect their daughters’ purity through a close and loving relationship.” You can also buy an audio CD called Principles of the Three Weavers that supplements this resource.
So Much More than Sugar and Spice is another audio CD resource for dads based on The Three Weavers. Fathers get an insight into what style of dad they are and how that impacts their parenting. They’ll find out what matters to their daughters and how to connect with them in meaningful relationships that have a huge impact on their daughter’s lives.
Mentoring Your Daughter audio CD. This is a resource you can start using right away even if your daughters are still a bit younger, like mine are. It introduces you to the basics of mentoring your daughters. There are practical tips, encouragement, and ideas for how to spend your time with your daughters to maximize your time with them. I have been listening to it in my car during late night grocery runs and am learning so much!
Welcome to Womanhood! audio CD. I started listening to this one already out of curiosity and will definitely file it away for the future! I love Shelley’s humor and her helpful, practical way of encouraging us as parents. This one is for mother’s only and helps us teach our girls ages 10-14 about the various HUGE changes they are going through as they become women.
