Real and lasting joy is reserved for the believer in Christ. It comes from that deep spring within us – the Holy Spirit – and from an intimate walk with Jesus. Amen, amen and amen. The longer I live the more convinced I am that everything (and I do mean *everything*) hinges on whether it is in submission and obedience to Christ or not. Seems every time I try to take the proverbial steering wheel without His principles or word in mind I sideswipe a tree or worse. Thank God that He is faithful to put up with all of us as we waffle along.
Yes thank God indeed! I know I’m constantly ramming into trees. 🙂
