Praying for Humility – Scripture About Having Humble Hearts

To have biblical humility is to be someone who has a heart attitude that is meek and humble, rather than full of pride. Jesus described it as being “poor in spirit,” or being fully aware of our true state apart from Christ and our absolute need for Him. Praying for humility is something we should do for ourselves and our spouse and children. It is essential to our Christian walk!

Only with humility can we recognize our state as sinners and our need of a savior. Only with humility can we submit ourselves to Christ, and recieves His forgiveness and salvation. Humility is necessary in repentance from sin and receiving God’s grace. It is critical in the daily work of relationships and service. We NEED humility!

Praying for Humility is important for ourselves and our spouse and children! Use these scripture cards, Bible journal pages, and scripture coloring pages to pray for a humble spirit in yourself and your family.
