It is such an important thing that we listen to wisdom – the wisdom of the Lord and of the wise people He brings into our lives! The same is true for our children. If we want them to grow in the ways of the Lord they need to learn to listen to us, to wise mentors, and ultimately to the Word of God. Hardening our hearts against the teaching of the Lord brings nothing but foolishness and unwise choices. Let’s pray for a teachable heart with these scriptures for ourselves and our loved ones!

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:16
For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives. Hebrews 12:6
