Praying and Memorizing Psalm 139 (fearfully and wonderfully made)

Knowing how precious we are to God is a major part of your child’s identity. We are fearfully and wonderfully made! And yours as well! We learn from scripture how intimately God created us, knows us, and loves us more than we can even imagine. We learn that we are fully known to God at all times – our heart, thoughts, and emotions. Psalm 139 speaks of God’s great love and intimate creation of our bodies and souls.

Let’s begin taking these words to heart by memorizing Psalm 139:13-18 as a family!

Praying Through & Memorizing Psalm 139

Nothing we can do can ever separate us from His love. We can never hide from Him. His thoughts for us are precious and innumerable! How absolutely comforting and humbling.

Let’s pray together through these scriptures as we memorize the verses with our families. You will be blessed by it!

Praying Psalm 139:13-18

Lord, thank You for Your great love for us. Your mastership of our bodies and souls is humbling to us.

Help us to value life as much as You do, and to be good stewards of not only the bodies You have crafted for us, but the short time here on earth You have given us to do Your will and glorify You.

Remind us of the precious and constant thoughts You have for us, entrusting our identity and our self-confidence in You rather than in ourselves, our circumstances, or the culture that we live in.

Thank You for Your word and unending love.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
