Will you join me in praying for contentment in our families?

I was struck by how much I NEED contentment in my life. I am prone to complaining and grumbling. I am prone to restlessness. I know that it stems from a lack of trust. What’s worse, I see that my kids emulate me.

I want to be a better example of contentment! I want my children and husband to be blessed by it and to have this character grow in themselves as the result of the work of the Spirit in their hearts.

Let’s pray together, friends!

This time I’ve put more extended scriptures below of the ones I selected for your prayer and consideration. I hope you are blessed by it!

1 Timothy 6:6-8 Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.

Hebrews 13:5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Philippians 4:11-13 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
